Water Heating Solutions
TRADITIONAL STORAGE WATER HEATERS
A majority of homes in the US have a storage water heater, typically 40 or 50 gallons. In the last several years, Federal mandates have driven a number of changes in design, resulting in improvements in energy efficiency. In fact, if your water heater is more than 5 years old, it could be 5-10% less efficient than similar designs today!
The Water Heater Experts have access to all of the leading brands including GE, Whirlpool, Rheem, A.O. Smith, Kenmore and many others.
This includes gas, electric and propane storage water heaters with tanks sizes ranging from 2.5 gallons up to 100 gallons! Tank and part warranties typically range from 6-12 years.
If you want a longer term solution, we also offer the Rheem Marathon, an electric water heater with a LIFETIME warranty that will never rust as it is constructed from high temperature plastic!
HIGHER EFFICIENCY WATER HEATING SOLUTIONS
With increased interest in energy and water conservation, there are a number of innovative water heating solutions available today that can save you significantly on your utility bill! In addition, Solar water heaters still qualify for a 30% Federal Tax Credit. For more information, please visit the EnergyStar website click here.
In addition, there are additional state incentives and utility rebates for qualifying tankless, heat pump and gas water heaters in both North Carolina and South Carolina! For more information, please call us or visit the Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency click here.
TANKLESS WATER HEATERS
The Water Heater Experts offer a complete line of tankless water heaters in both gas and electric models. In fact, we are proud to be an Authorized Service Provider for both Rinnai and GE tankless water heaters. Typically, we recommend gas tankless water heaters for "whole-home" applications while electric tankless are perfect for single fixtures or lower hot water demand.
From a comparison standpoint, a traditional gas tankless water will save nearly $250-$300 in annual energy costs over a standard electric storage water heater and approximately $75-$100 over a standard gas storage water heater (depending on your local Utility rates and specific water heater model). In addition, there is a new line of condensing, high efficiency tankless water heaters that can save even more on your energy bill! This can add up to thousands of dollars over the life of the tankless water heater!
HEAT PUMP WATER HEATERS
The Water Heater Experts is very pleased to be one of the first dealers in the country to offer the new GE GeoSpring™ Hybrid Water Heater. This innovative design fits in the footprint of a standard 50 gallon electric water heater but is able to reduce your annual water heating cost by up to 62% each year ($320 estimated annual savings over a standard electric water heater!) by taking heat out of the surrounding air and transferring it into your water heater. SOLAR WATER HEATING
While typically a larger up-front investment, a properly designed solar water heating solution can have significant energy savings over traditional water heaters. In addition, with applicable Federal and State tax credits approaching 50% of the total cost, a solar water heating solution may be right for you!
